My name is Mia (formerly Ally Lamon of Guilty Noodles), I’m a migraine sufferer and a recovering alcoholic and drug addict. I’m also the mother of two sons, ages 5 & 10, a book designer, photographer and aspiring writer (who isn’t these days?). Please join me on my journey through recovery and my day-to-day madness. Don’t worry, I won’t spew AA shit on you.

  2. For the past few weeks, I’ve been thinking about you. When you disappeared from the world last year, I wondered if you didn’t want to be contacted by me or anyone. I remember you sent me an email during the Christmas holidays saying you were getting your act together. I was so happy to hear that. Today, I decided to google you and found your blog. First off, congratulations on your sobriety. You actually brought a tear to my eye. When we first reconnected after 20 some years, it was when you were at a pretty lowpoint in your life. I remember our conversations outside of Jinju, thinking, praying and hoping you would get better. Life got the best of me with work, a kid, family health issues, my own health issues and I never followed up with you. Nor was I sure you wanted to be contacted. I’m so glad I found your posts and that you are doing good. I’ve spent a couple of hours reading your entries, going back to last Fall. You are such a strong, beautiful person. I’m so happy and proud of you my dear, long time friend. 🙂

  3. Welcome, Missy! I’m sorry for the delayed response. Often times (more often than I’d like) life catches up with me and I rarely write. Thanks for reminding me to keep at my sobriety and to stay in touch with all those out there. The best of luck to you!
